Hello! I’m Amber.

I am a costume design and practice graduate. I have experience in a wide range of productions, including 17 professional theatre productions, 10 amateur theatre productions, and a variety of backstage roles within the university, with responsibilities ranging from Wardrobe Maintenance to head of Department, Deputy Head of Department, maker, dresser, and backstage runner.

I have also had the opportunity to work on collaborations with Elmhurst Ballet School, creating one of the costumes for their 2024 final year’s production of A La Mode.

Radio Experience

Presenter for Scratch Radio March 2025 – present

I am also an active radio presenter at Scratch Radio, where I present on the student radio on Tuesday evenings. I am responsible for planning and preparing my show using Myriad 6 software, ensuring that I adhere to Ofcom regulations. This experience has not only honed my communication and presentation skills but also allowed me to connect with a wider audience and share my interests and passions. I am always eager to learn new skills and take on new challenges

Additional Experiences

I have dressed and been backstage runner for a number of BCU photoshoots and fashion shows, including dressing at Graduate Fashion Week in 2024
some of my weaving samples were selected to be included in an Exhibition at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens
I dressed the host of Coventry Does Strictly, a charity dance competition, as they performed in their Drag persona
My tailored jacket was selected for an internal exhibition at university (Jacket with matching cravat and pocket square)
