A first year university module where we had to create a denim shirt from deadstock and second hand fabrics. My shirt was inspired by music and family in the 1980s. My shirt is constructed from old jeans that I cut up and reconstructed into a useable sheet of fabric to cut out the pattern pieces. The print and colours are in reference to collaged research pages used to create the initial designs. My shirt was later selected to be part of our L4 photoshoot.
